The translation process PDF Print E-mail
1.    When an order is received at ATOMINIUM, the files are analysed and all the details are established with the client on the basis of in-house resources and ancillary aids.
2.    The individual project manager establishes the deadlines for completing the project’s various stages, puts together the team and assembles the essential tools.
3.    A translator with the appropriate qualifications and extensive experience in the given field receives the file, together with the essential translation base and ancillary materials. We strive at all times to ensure that the vast majority of translations are made by translators who are native speakers of the target language.
4.    If the client has ordered additional editorial work on the textual style, which is recommended in the case of texts intended for publication, the project manager will deliver the translation, together with all the ancillary aids and the translator’s notes, to the editor. The editor checks the translation from the viewpoint of stylistic, linguistic, and substantive appropriacy and introduces any necessary revisions, with a view to rendering the text ready for printing.
5.    The project manager then passes the text to ATOMINIUM’s in-house team of quality control experts in order to ensure that all the tasks have been completed in accordance with the client’s requirements.
6.    If the project includes ATOMINIUM’s dtp or localisation services, the next task is to adjust the formatting of the files to the client’s requirements.
7.    Before delivering the completed translation to the client, the project manager carries out a final verification to ensure that all the client’s requirements have been met. The files are then delivered to the client by e-mail or other means, as agreed.
