The DTP process PDF Print E-mail
1.    When an order is received at ATOMINIUM, the files are analysed and all the details are established with the client on the basis of in-house resources and ancillary aids.
2.    The individual project manager establishes the deadlines for completing the project’s various stages, puts together the team, and assembles the essential tools.
3.    The files are passed to our dtp section. One of our DTP experts identifies the sections requiring translation from within the main body of the text. The individual project manager passes the text on for translation.
4.    A translator with the appropriate qualifications and extensive experience in the given field receives the file, together with the essential translation base and ancillary materials.
5.    If the client has ordered additional editorial work on the textual style, the project manager will deliver the translation, together with all the ancillary aids and the translator’s notes, to the editor. The editor checks the translation from the viewpoint of stylistic, linguistic, and substantive appropriacy and introduces any necessary revisions, with a view to rendering the text ready for printing.
6.    The DTP expert creates the graphic layout of the text.
7.    The individual project manager passes the material to the client for acceptance.
8.    Once the client’s acceptance has been received, our DTP Section prepares the full set of materials for the printer, together with a report generated by the graphics program used to lay out the text.
9.    The individual project manager collects the ready materials from the printer, accepts them and delivers the project to the client.
